Points to be examined in order to ensure you obtain excellent value for your money
• Visit the factory prior to making the order. Ensure the company with which you place the order is the actual manufacturer as opposed to a sub contractor.
• Demand technical information including catalog pages for each gate / barrier component and compare with your requirements.
• Visit the factory throughout the various manufacturing phases. The factory can be requested to invite you in before going onto the next production phase, so as to ensure the required actions have been taken (for example, painting or galvanizing can obstruct profile marks and identification capability).
• Ensure the material being used meets your specifications (dimensions, mechanical strength etc.).
• Ensure the factory is capable of executing the job at the required quality level.
• Ensure the factory is capable of addressing the natural phenomenon of structure distortions due to welding heat (straightening methods).
• Ensure the gate / barrier is painted in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and after a proper preparation of the surface.
• Ensure the gate / barrier is painted within an enclosed location – not outdoors.
• Ensure the painting area is sterile so that no dust / sand adheres to the gate while it is being painted.
• Ensure the gate / barrier foundations are properly calculated following the required statistical calculations.
• Beware of low prices. |
